Pianist, composer and teacher

He studied at Conservatori del Liceu, where he graduated in 1895. He taught at the same institution and had Frederic Mompou as his student. In addition, he composed piano and symphonic music, as well as sardanes. His output includes a Sonata in D minor for violin and piano (1945).
