He was a student of Enric Morera at the Liceu Conservatory. He developed his compositional task alongside the promotion of different musical initiatives. He was member of Grup dels Vuit and was founder and director of the Revista Musical Catalana. He also collaborated in other publications such as Vibracions. His output includes Escenes de la llar for violin and piano. Between 1912 and 1920, he conducted the Orfeó Alforgenc.
