Biografia
He studied piano under Pere Vallribera at the Conservatory of Music of the Liceu and orchestration and composition under Cristòfor Taltabull. He was a founding member of the Manuel de Falla Circle and his compositions were strongly influenced by the music and modal language of Falla and C. Debussy. After many years without composing, he resumed his activity in the 1980s composing orchestral music and showing his mastery of orchestration. His catalogue includes notable works such as Sonates per a piano (1951,1953), Sinfonietta (1990), and Elegía a Platero for choir and orchestra (1957), based on poems by J. R. Jiménez.
