Instrument maker

He studied music in Barcelona, city where he opened a music shop in in 1897. Although during the first year he sold music accessories, from the following year onwards, he sold also musical instruments. 

In 1920, he began his collaboration with Jacinto Pinto in the construction of bowed string instruments, and created viola-tenor. In addition, he promoted the study of string instruments by founding the Parramon Prize (1924) and by publishing the journal Hermes (1928-36), specializing in pedagogy, and the opuscule Guía del violinista. He composed sardanes and symphonic music such as his Symphony in D minor, premiered in 1955 by the Mallorca Symphony Orchestra. The heirs of his collaborator Jacinto Pinto are owners of Casa Parramon currently located at Carrer del Carme in Barcelona.
