She began piano lessons with J. B. Pujol and later with Granados and Malats at the Escola Municipal de Música of Barcelona. There, she also studied harmony with Frígola and composition with Balart, and obtained the first piano award together with R. Viñes. She obtained great success thanks to her performance in the World’s Fair of Barcelona in 1888. Her concert activity included both her solo performances and her performance accompanying her son Josep Ricart in several European cities. In addition to his activity as a performer, she taught at the Escola Municipal de Música of Barcelona.
