Composer and critic

He studied composition with J. A. de Donostia (José González Zulaika), and law at the University of Barcelona. He founded the Cercle Manuel de Falla, was teacher at the Adrià Gual School of Dramatic Art and was music critic on radio and in the press. In 1974 he composed the anthem of Futbol Club Barcelona (with lyrics by Josep M. Espinàs and Jaume Picas) which gave him great popularity. He composed chamber music works, such as Les veus del carrer (1966) and Estudis concertants (1975) as well as film music. He wrote books about music for a wide readership.
